This mangrove tree, once standing proudly in the heart of Charlotte Harbor, became a personal subject of fascination over the years. Each annual visit revealed its ever-changing form, as the resilient tree continuously reshaped itself, adapting to the elements around it. With its twisted roots and bending branches, it was a symbol of nature's strength and endurance. Year after year, I returned to capture its evolution through my lens, witnessing how it stood firm against the tides and winds. Sadly, after Hurricane Milton, the mangrove no longer exists. The absence of this tree leaves a quiet void, a reminder of nature’s impermanence and the power of the forces that shape our world.
