Artist Statement

Photography is my escape from the constant ups and downs of life. When I'm out in nature, away from expectations and opinions, I can simply exist as part of something much larger than myself. Nature doesn't judge. It doesn't demand anything. It just is. It's in those moments, when I'm not trying to force a photograph, that I begin to notice the patterns, textures, light, and atmosphere that speak to something deeper within me. I'll come back again and again, waiting for the right light, the right moment, until the photograph reflects that experience. A photograph can invite the viewer to pause. Reflect. Find whatever meets them there. A quiet moment to reconnect in their own way.
