Sandstone Falls2

While hiking toward the main section of Sandstone Falls, I climbed down into this small area tucked beneath the canopy. Very little light reached the water, leaving the rocks and fallen log almost black against the falls.
To get the composition, I had to balance myself between two rocks while positioning each leg of my tripod on a separate rock above the water. It was an awkward setup, but it gave me the angle I wanted—the dark, almost bone-like shape of the log cutting through the soft movement of the water.
