Caspersen Beach 5
This photograph was taken at Casperson Beach, about half a mile from where I'd parked. As I walked toward the area I wanted to photograph, the sky was mostly blue, just a few clouds. But by the time I reached this spot, a large rain cloud had formed, pouring down over one section of the horizon. What caught my attention was the contrast. Half the scene was still open sky while the other half was disappearing into the rain. About ten minutes later, that same storm reached me. With my car a long walk away, I covered my camera gear with an umbrella and stood in the rain until it passed. It was one of those moments at Casperson Beach where the weather completely transformed the scene within minutes.
